Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Man finishes London Marathon after 26 days, crawling face down while dressed as The Magic Roundabout's Brian the Snail

Mr Scott with the snail costume and the rest of the Magic Roundabout cast.

How could I resist that headline, taken direct from The Hornsey Journal Twitter stream and leading to an article about Lloyd Scott, fundraising director for Hornsey charity Action For Kids who survived nosebleeds, vomiting and near constant back pain, in a bid to complete the London Marathon route dressed as Brian the Snail from the Magic Roundabout.

Hugh that is absolutely genius, I really hope the charity which employs me doesn't see it and get any ideas

Somewhere there is a tripe o'gaffical error. This is on Twitter at least 8 times as 'Brain the Snail' - a bit like 'wack the rat' perhaps, or perhaps a new form of organic gardening.

Thanks Hugh for bringing Lloyd Scott to my attention. I think if schools had an 'inspiration board' in their halls he should be put next to Olympic sports people and historic people like Mandela, Gandhi, Pankhurst etc. to show that coming last can be a great achievement and that great effort is as recognisable as great medal winners. Lloyd goes on to my 'board' and I will be donating now of course!
