Magpies

A guy called to our house this evening wearing a high viz jacket with "Haringey Council" logo, enquiring if I had found the baby magpie he put on my garden wall at 4am. Stupidly I went into my garden, but did not see anything. He kept saying I put in on the wall and it fell behind your shed because it was raining at that time. I said well you can look yourself, which he did then left and went to my neighbour who is an elderly lady.

It took me a few mins to realise

1. You would have to be about 10foot tall to reach the garden wall.

2. My shed is no where near the wall.

So I quickly went next door, but he had already left saying he would come back to check the Magpies

as he is a member of the society? Does anyone know of such a society?
