I'm working alongside Keep Britain Tidy (KBT) as part of a new project. I've just come off the phone with one of the KBT team and they mentioned the just launched 'Love Where you Live' programme.
Here's Kirstie Allsop, introducing it:
The programme is rolling out over three years so we'll have to see what they have in store for us. It's noteworthy for me in that it's backed up by some useful research and it sounds like they'll be using some interesting approaches.
The research included a look at what the most frequently littered brands in the UK are. Here are the top 10 of 2011 so far:

What a fabulous initiative and if my litter pick through Crouch End yesterday is anything to go by Macdonalds, Wrigleys, Marlboro and Coca-cola were persistant offenders. I was racking my brains thinking how the Macdonalds got dumped along Denton Road and Weston Park but of course, it's bought from the drive through, eaten and hurled from the window. In Crouch End - quelle horreur!
Here's a link to my whole Guerilla-style anti-dog fouling and litter pick campaign for N8. It could have course back fire and cause all neighbour dog owners to take their dogs out, knowing a certain Cupcake will come and remove it! We'll see. http://opinion8.ning.com/forum/topics/cupcakes-guerilla-antidog-poo
Am I the only one who watched this video right through under the illusion that the presenter was our Liz/Mrs E ?
Apologies, Liz. I know Allsopp is a tory capitalist. Having spent the boom years living vicariously off the property-porn illusions of the nation, she's now moving in on your territory in the hope of being hailed as Cameron's Big Society pin-up Litter-lite. Wonder what she's done with Phil?
I still think there's an uncanny likeness there. Anyone else agree? Or do I need an optician?
