Yes I can see the photo. She's a lovely cat. Will keep a lookout for her. Hope she's microchipped.

ditto. Gilly is a year and a half, and never leaves the garden. ;-(
We saw a fox in our garden too. x
Hope she comes home soon! It's also worth putting her details on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk
Putting up flyers near your home is also a good idea - on your road and on the road which your garden backs onto. It's possible that she may only be a few gardens away, but lost. If you empty contents of your hoover outside and some litter from her tray, she will be attracted and drawn towards the scent even if quite far way.
Thank goodness you were sensible to microchip her. It's worth notifying the microchip company that she's gone missing and at the same time check they have your up to date contact details.
Thank you. I've just done all of the things you have advised. I will try and post some photographs on the roads this evening.
That's great news, you must be so relieved!
The council won't help with foxes. Foxes do not usually attack cats. If it gives you any reassurance, we live near you, we have had 6 rescue cats here for 15 years, foxes have always been around and we've never had a problem.
Foxes are usually around at night or the early hours of the morning. I always recommend anyone with a cat to keep them inside at night anyway as it reduces the risk of them getting into fights with other cats or getting lost or hit by a car. The added advantage of this is that if a cat is inside at night, they won't be around the foxes. I'm sure you keep your cat inside at night anyway.
It's important for a cat to have a cat flap so they can come inside whenever they want. A microchip cat flap is a good idea - as they have the option of a curfew mode or night mode which means your cat can come and go during the day and be safe inside at night so you don't have to worry if you're out in the evening as the cat flap controls everything for you. Sureflap are best and they do various models such as http://www.sureflap.co.uk/products/details/19-microchip-pet-door (I think this latest model is bigger than a standard size cat flap) and there's also another company which does the Pet Porte Smart Flap http://www.staywell.co.uk/Intl/UK/Products/Pet-Porte-Smart-Flap/Mic....
