lost scooter lock - Pemberton Road

This morning I accidentally left the padlock to my scooter's chain on the pavement outside my house (top of Pemberton Road). When I realised 20 min later I went back, but the lock wasn't there anymore. It's not useable without keys, so I am surprised that someone would take it. Maybe someone picked it up and placed it somewhere safe away from the pavement?

If anyone has found it, could you please get in touch? I had to buy another one just now which cost me £89...a very upsetting and expensive Monday morning...
