Lost black and white cat - Duckett Road/Cavendish Road area

My friend has lost her cat in Duckett Road area. He is called Loco and is a young slim adult male cat who looks a bit like a felix cat. No collar. Please check your sheds as he may have got shut in somewhere. He's adventurous, likes climbing trees. He might have gone onto the riverbank and then gone on to Duckett Road or Cavendish Road area. Please lookout for him. He has a high pitched squeaky miaow. He is friendly, but may also run away. If you pick him up, he might wriggle. Missing since Monday 4th March. Thank you for your help.

I think I saw your cat (I confirm the colour white and black) yesterday night about 8pm wandering around cavendish road. will be useful if you upload his picture. hope he'll return soon...

Thanks for replying! Was it Green Lanes end or Wightman road end of Cavendish Road? I hope it was him. I am trying to get a photo from the owner. Please keep a lookout. If you see him again, let me know and I'll go and have a look.

it's the green lanes...yup will do if i see him again i will bring him home if he doesn't run away and will let you know asap

Thank you so much. We're very worried. Be prepared for him to wriggle if you pick him up, you need to hold him quite strongly, but he's friendly, not aggressive. He will be hungry! I hope it's Loco and you see him again.

I have seen a simular cat in gardens of a cat that is hopping around us on Beresford rd /Allison rd , Which seems quite a way from you .

As soon as i see your photo i will be in touch if it resembles him,

Good luck

Thanks a lot. I haven't got a photo yet, but will post one as soon as I get it. He is a black and white cat who is predominantly black, for example, his back is all black. From memory, he has white markings on face and paws and his tummy. But that may not be a precise description. He's quick and agile and has a mischievous little face.

This might be the cat I found in our cellar on Tuesday, around 8pm. I was in working in the garden most of the day with the patio doors open, obviously didn't see a cat come in and don't even remember going into the cellar during the day but I must have done for something... was very surprised to find a cat down there when I went to get something in the eve. We put him out onto Cavendish Road but he came straight back in and zoomed down into the cellar again, so we put him out of the back door the second time and he was off, seemed to know where he was. We're south side of Cavendish so back onto Burgoyne, and we're close to the river. I think I'd recognise him if I saw a picture, his face was quite distinctive. He certainly wriggled when we picked him up and we had to hold him strongly. We do get a lot of cats traipsing through our garden though, and quite a few of them are black and white. I'll keep a closer look out now though, do hope you find him soon.

That could have been him. He is very curious. Whenever I open my shed, he's quick to run in. He does wriggle a lot when picked up and is hard to keep hold of. When he miaows, it's like a high pitched moan/cry. He's likely to have been near the river as well. If you see him again, try to shut him in and I'll quickly pop down and check if it's him, maybe you could take a photo. Sorry I haven't been able to post a photo so far as the owner hasn't given me one yet. Loco often hangs out with a black and white cat called Brian who lives in Cavendish road, but they would normally be in a back garden of Cavendish road, backing onto Duckett Road. Loco lives in Duckett Road. He's unlikely to know Burgoyne road if he has gone that way. Thank you for your help. he's only about 3 and has never gone missing before so we are worried.

mmhh.... there has been a wonderful black and white cat trying to chase the ducks on the river... i see him all the time and he fits the description. i won't be able to get him as he is on the other side of the fence. I see him in the morning when i open the curtains.. what shall we do?

I live near the river on Burgoyne, so will keep an eye out, but I saw a cat matching this description crossing Burgoyne Road near the passage a few mornings ago - I have a fairly good mental inventory of the local cats, and hadn't seen this one before (and he was slim! much slimmer than my podgy cats). If you could post a photo when you are able, that would be helpful.

Hiya

Any news on the lost cat Justine?

Just to avoid any false sightings, my boy cats are black and white and they wonder around Burgoyne and Cavendish Road gardens a lot. They even go into people's flats apparently (sorry about that!)

Here is a picture of my cats, so that they don't get mistaken for Justine's friend's cat

Thanks Sally for the photos of your cats. Just been out looking for Loco, altho it's raining so he'll be sheltering somewhere.

Loco looks totally different to Sally's cats as he has more black fur than white. So his back is black, with some white underbelly. His face is more black than white. He is black around his eyes and I think he's got white parts around his mouth and chin area and some white on paws. He is a longish lean cat with long legs. He has a small face with close together eyes. No collar.

Thanks babettli. Loco loves to chase birds. Please let me know approx time you see him in the morning on the river and whereabouts i.e. between which roads.

Thanks Malcolm. Was he crossing Burgoyne towards Cavendish or was he going the other way? He'll be totally lost as he's only ever been as far as the back gardens of Cavendish/Duckett before he went missing.

If anyone can also take a photo, I can identify if it's Loco. I'm sorry that the owner hasn't given me a photo yet. Loco will be very hungry by now and the weather is going to get colder. Please keep looking for him, I really appreciate it.
