Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Around 9am this morning, a tiny dog was stopping traffic on the road in front of Chestnut's Park. Clearly lost and terrified. Barked and ran away into the hospital grounds when called.

It's some kind of toy dog; not sure what breed. Black and tan and long legs in proportion to its size. No collar, so possibly dumped. Tried to call RSPCA but no answer. If this is your dog or you think you know the owner, please go there soon.

Have also reported it via Haringey Council website to dog warden. Apparently they don't do call-outs to stray dogs unless it's a public safety issue. Ho hum.

Well done for publicising.

It's vital for someone local to try to catch the dog as soon as possible, otherwise it will be at risk of geting injured by a car. If anyone nearby is reading this, please try to catch the dog. When caught, any vet will scan for free to see if the dog is microchipped.

The contact tel number of Haringey Council Dog Warden 07815 512 833, but you're right, they can only help if a dog is caught.

I have notified Stokey Cats and Dogs to publicise and also notified All Dogs Matter who are a good source of help (email: info@alldogsmatter.co.uk Tel 0208 341 3196 Ira Moss is very helpful).

You can also report a found dog (even if only sighted) on Dog Lost

thanks so much, Justine. That's really helpful

If anyone has managed to find and catch the little dog yet, please let us know.

Kit, this is a flyer of a small dog which was lost from Crouch End/Hornsey area - if the dog you saw looked like this one, please let me know.

Don't think it's this one, Justine-- the dog in the poster looks older and has floppier ears.
