Lost/abandoned dog in park

I was going through Finsbury Park earlier, coming through the entrance on Endymion Road. I noticed a dog wandering along near the canal. It was white with a brown patch on its ears and over one eye. It didn't have a collar and it seemed to be looking around for bits of food. There was no owner around that I could see. I was wondering how it managed to be on that side of the path because there is a gate stopping you from getting through. I hope it hasn't been dumped there but I wanted to put up a message in case anyone is missing it.

you could give details of this dog on doglost.co.uk and look through the missing dogs on that site to see if they match the one you saw

Yes well done for spotting the dog and flagging it up on here.

If anyone sees a loose dog and is not able to get near to catch it to take it to a vet to check if microchipped, then take a photo or if not possible a good description and put details on www.doglost.co.uk and www.animalsearchuk.co.uk giving the date seen and location.

Microchipping of dogs will be a legal requirement from April 2016, but the sooner everyone gets their cats and dogs microchipped and neutered, the better.
