I stupidly cut through the power cable of my neighbour's Bosch hedge strimmer while doing them a favour and cutting both our joining hedges......what a muppet.
Can any one or does any one know an electrician who could take it apart and re-connect the power cable? Its not like regular plug connecters, its quite tricky.

I've cut my cable a couple of times and just used these.
Thanks Hugh, are they rated for use when wet / raining?
Just checked, they are only rated for indoor use.
I guess to be ultra-safe, that's worth paying attention to, especially if the trimmer isn't yours.
Personally, it doesn't concern me since I never cut the hedge when it's raining. I wouldn't mind betting that they sell outdoor ones, though.
I got the connectors, going to keep this one and buy a new one for my neighbour. Thanks for the advice!
Hugh nice thing this cable connector. But out of stock! How many time you cut the cable?
so it was not only you
It's dead easy. You can buy the connectors in any Homebase / B&Q / Wickes / Maplins.
I'll do it if you bring it round.
Thats great, will see if I can get some, have asked Hugh if they are rated for wet / raining conditions.
As it is not mine though I would prefer to return it as it as lent with the cable reattached directly into the housing.
That would be more difficult as there are a number of screws to undo and split the housing. Usually what happens is a spring shoots out and disappears into another space/time continuum
Thank John, going to get some now.
