Looking to borrow a “shop” vacuum for the weekend
Hi there all,
I’ve got some sanding of walls to do this weekend and was just wondering whether anyone had a “shop” vacuum I could borrow? Would really help me keep the levels of dust down if I had something I could connect to my sander, but this is very one off activity for me so not worth spending the money on one to keep. Happy to pay a bit for the privilege too if that sweetens the deal! Thanks.

Hi, Vacuum cleaners for power tools are called dust extractors. There are 3 types: L (Low) M (medium) H (high). You want the M type for sanding, and may be able to hire one from HSS or a tool higher company. Domestic vacuum cleaners are not appropriate as they can clog up, and release dust back into the air.
