Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I have some dresses I love but need simple alterations - taking in, mostly, and I don't have the skills or the machine - do you? I could come to you, or you to me (I am in N10) and we can agree a price.

I also have some material I would love to turn into scatter cushions and really simple unlined curtains - any offers?

Thanks -

Julie G.

Try Chris Pantelli @ 409 Green Lanes near Sainsbury, he repairs sewing machines so he should know someone who can help

Thanks!
The tailor at green lanes Magic Wand dry cleaners is great!

You could try these two- they live locally

Julie, the sewist in Zephyr (Green Lanes, near Stanhope Gdns) is a miracle worker with a machine! And she loves to do creative things. Pop in and talk to her. Tell her Sara sent you (if she looks blank, tell her it's the woman for who she did a green chair cover).

got to be zephyr- starting using her after recoomendation on here about  year ago- she is brilliant and so cheap- i take everything there now- just a little ?turkish lady

Magic Wand recently fixed a tear in the pocket of my trousers. Did a good job. Friendly too.

Hi, Hope it's OK to respond to this thread (!) but I am looking for someone local and great at what they do to slightly shorten a dress for me, maybe secure some loose beading and give it an iron. Is Zephyr still the place to go? Thanks in advance and best wishes.
