Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Having picked up a tweet about the quiz at the Salisbury being cancelled, I phoned Dave, the pub's manager to verify. He confirmed this and more.

Apparently all local pubs have been advised to close by the police. He said that the Tollgate up on Turnpike Lane had closed earlier in the afternoon after youths had been seen gathering outside. The Old Ale has stopped serving, The Finsbury is closed, The Garden Ladder is closing as is The Salisbury.

Dave said there are reports of youths gathering up by Manor House Tube and in Chestnuts Park.

I don't really understand what they'd want from Green Lanes though.

Me neither. Unless it's kebabs.

Just been out to get fish & chips from the shop on St Anns, opp The Salisbury. Everything looks fine. Get out there people.

Don't understand why they've closed the pubs at all. Lets hope it stays quiet tonight.

A friend just cycled all round chestnuts nothing happening just usual football and tennis no trouble
Yup, teenagers happily playing their usual footie game at Fairland Park on the ladder. Everything as it should be, for now.

Local pubs closing down now

Isn't that what they've been doing for years?

;o)
Just been out to the corner shop on GL - everything looks as normal, Old Ale Emporium still open.

just put the recycling out, all's well in my front garden.

It all seems very quiet around Ritches\Rowley\Conway Rd...

Yep, just gone for a walk down Green Lanes from Turnpike Lane with my husband, stopped off at the OAE for a nice half and a chat before walking back. GL all quiet - several of the shops are already shut - but several of the restaurants still open .  It was good to be out and about :)

Great to hear it. Touch wood.
