I'm interested in doing a craft course such as intro to sewing or maybe knitting or similar. Does anyone know somewhere I could do this locally. I am a real beginner.

You could try the Hornsey Vale community centre. They do lots of courses. I think I have seen knitting on their courses before

Hi Marie, I'm a knitter and could maybe get you started, but there are two nearby wool shops that run beginners' courses: Nest on Weston Park Road, which also has lots of sewing courses, and Wild & Woolly, which is in Clapton but an easy bus from Manor House. Message me if you'd like to talk more about wool.... and good luck with your crafting!

there is a sewing class held at chestnuts community centre on st.ann's road (10 min. walk, 2 min on the 341, from Harringay). they have about 10 people each week.
