Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Ferry Lane estate is the 5th largest and the greenest estate in Haringey.  It's uniquely placed, alongside the river Lee Navigation. The estate has a wildlife, commuting corridor through its centre, connecting the Navigation to the estate's own mini wooded area of mature trees.

This wooded area needs attention and on Wednesday, 18th January 11-2pm there's going to be litter picking.  LWT (London Wildlife Trust), our Natural Estate's coordinator, is appealing for nature-lovers to join in and bring this spot back to its former appearance. Veolia will be there, along with Council officials. Gloves and pickers will be provided,as will refreshments.

The Tottenham and Wood Green Journal will be attending and Haringey's HomeZone reporter and photographer, fo include the event in their next issue.

PLEASE, PLEASE, come along and give your support. After litter picking, a short guided walk will be offerred. Please let us know, on the day, if you are interested.

The event will kick off promptly at 11. There will be a short health and safety talk beforehand. Please remember to bring warm clothes and sturdy, comfortable footwear.

We look forward to welcoming you.
