Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This week there's an application to to use part of the restaurant at 395 Green Lanes as a social club.

Interesting, I popped my head in the door of the recently sold old Greek solicitor's office next door at 393 and got a very very frosty reception when I asked questions about its use. It seemed to be getting split into small offices. I couldn't see what they were being so cagey about.

The other application this week is for 78 Grand Parade, Karizma Hairdresser's who are looking to build an extension at the back of their premises.

The "Design & Access Statement" for using part of building as a social club cites 72, Grand Parade as a precedent. If you check "Consultation Response No. 2" on planning application "HGY/2008/1179" it appears 72, Grand Parade was converted illegally to a social club and greatly disturbs their neighbours. An odd precedent to work off.
