Ladies Pond closed

Just to let any would-be swimmers know that the Ladies Pond remains closed this week after the sad death on Sunday of a woman in her fifties, whose body was removed from the pond on Monday. They don't yet know why she died and are carrying out safety tests and further investigations.

I read about that. Really sad. the Ladies Pond is such a lovely lovely place too, hopefully it will reopen soon.

The Pond is open again for swimming. Results of the post-mortem were inconclusive, which must be very hard for her family.
