Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Knowing Through Growing - lend a hand with the new growing space at our local library

More from Transition Crouch End & Transition Finsbury Park about work on the unused space behind Stroud Green Library discovered and brought to their attention by yours truly:

Once Upon a Time

"On the second morning of August in the year of 2010 the clouds parted to reveal a community of growers at work in the land around the back of Stroud Green library; Neighbours from the library surrounds, members of Transition Finsbury Park and Transition Crouch End, including members of Stroud Green Residents Association gathered with mattock, forks and croppers to bravely face head on the Thistles, Brambles and Bindweed. Faced with such strong resilience they retreated into the dark soil, where they lay in wait to smother any young plants they would like to give root there............"

We need help and you out there have all that we need. Your hands, your minds, your ideas, your refreshments, even your waste! We made use of an abandoned crate and discarded cardboard to start up a compost heap!

Together we will gather on Tuesday the 17th August at high noon to dare go deeper. From there on continues our story, make it your story and who knows where it will end!

If you're brave or scared and in need of a friendly hand come join us and dish the dirt!
