Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

All

A close friend (and ex Hewitt Rd resident), Andrew Delotbiniere has produced his first feature film called Kajaki.  This is an incredible true story about the camaraderie of a group of paratroopers in Afghanistan and the harrowing situation they found themselves in.

The film comes out nationwide at Vue cinemas on Friday 28 November.  It will be shown at Vue in Wood Green and a bunch of us are going on Saturday 29 November to the 9:30pm screening.

If you can't make it that night I would encourage you to see it another time but if possible at some stage over the first weekend (as it helps with the measurement of the films success).

Here's the trailer -

There has also been loads of press coverage including -

I saw the film last night, and it kicks you in the chest the reality soldiers find themselves, what's more compelling is that the film is recalling the unfolding of a real story. This is a suspense/ drama, the acting and production is exactly how it needs to be, (you need to take a freind to reflect on everything afterwards,) you will come out feeling how do we pull together to help each other?, any grievance you have, or disagreement will be arrested by the tragedy the key characters find themselves. I haven't seen anything like it since "La Haine," for the gripping and long lasting effect on the viewer, well done to Andrew and everyone who brought Kajaki to film, a tough gig.
Stay for the credits, to see the long list from the Crowd funding achieved, the characters outcomes are revealed also.
