Route Highlights:

The area offers serene walking paths with calming lakeside views, along with opportunities to observe herons, swans, and a variety of other wildlife. The paths are flat and accessible, making them suitable for people of all abilities. We will maintain the structure of two walking groups:

  • Amblers for a gentle stroll with rest stops
  • Striders for a brisker pace, rejoining the group at the end

Weather Forecast - What to Wear & Bring:
Sunday 28th September in Walthamstow promises to be pleasant for a walk!  Morning temperatures are expected to be around 11°C, rising to about 16-18°C by midday. Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds, leaning towards mainly sunny in the afternoon, and there is a low chance of rain. So we recommend you wear/bring:

  • Comfortable walking shoes or trainers
  • Light jacket or sweater for cooler morning temperatures
  • Layered clothing so you can adjust as it warms up
  • A water bottle to stay hydrated
  • Optional: binoculars if you’d like to spot wildlife
