Jamboree Play Hut to be closed 30th September

My last moan on the issue - Jamboree Play Hut's closure has now been officially announced via a rather brief letter - definitely closing on September 30th next Friday.

Thank you to all those who supported our efforts to try and keep the service open:

150 'friends' supported our campaign on our face book site

196 signatures on epetition with many many more submitted on paper petitions

100+ (at least) written responses to consultation document

Numerous emails to Councillors, Council workers.....

Unfortunately despite the fact there was a 'consultation' by Haringey Council that requested parents/service users views re the proposal to close the hut and ideas for keeping the service open, Haringey Council has decided to close the Hut without giving any feedback about infomation obtained form the 'consultation, without following any kind of formal process as far as we can see,  without holding any public meeting to discuss the findings of the 'consultation' or explore any of the many suggestions made about cost saving/ideas to keep it open. What more can I say.
