Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
'Jam in a Jar' Launch Night, Friday 5th July
I'm delighted to hear that Harringay's newest establishment is throwing open its doors next Friday.
Located just a few doors up from Blend in the old Muna's building, we started talking about JiJ last May. Affable owner Quto is using his experience of running running the cavernous Question Mark bar/club in Stoke Newington to bring a new dimension to Green Lanes.
It sounds like it's going to be wonderful - cafe, restaurant, bar, lots of live music and even a small studio in the back. The furniture's arriving this week - comfortable old sofas and old gramophone etc.
If Quto gets a minute amongst all the last minute preparation, I'm sure he'll fill in some of the gaps - but still keep us all guessing a bit!

Quite stupidly excited about this-great to have a new bar at the end of our road. Will there be some kind of opening night party or anything similar? And do you know what the opening hours are likely to be?

Thanks for the uplifting comment! Bonfire Band are playing tmrw from 9pm..we'll be open 12noon tmrw for lunch, coffee etc. usual opening hours will be 11am-midnight during the week and 10am-1.30/2am wknds. Live music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You can follow our events/exhibitions on fb (jam in a jar).

Actually, I think Harringay's newest establishment might be the Asian cafe next door to the Asian food shop near Homebase. Open tonight for delicious gyozu!

Silly question but where is it exactly? I live in Crouch End so only know a few places in Green Lanes that I go to regularly but no idea where Muna's building is. Thanks
