Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I hear that if you have a resident parking permit for any CPZ in Islington, you can now park anywhere in the borough between certain hours in the middle of the day. I wonder if we should push for something like this in Haringey?

It was swung partly by the fact that people were unable to park near the town hall which restricts access to local services. That's is the case here - it always seems bizarre to have to pay to park in Wood Green order to pay to renew your resident parking permit...

I think that's great idea. I think more areas in the borough need CPZ and this would make a lot of sense to businesses/shops who tend to be against new CPZs being introduced.

I have a GL B parking permit and I've only just discovered I can park in a GL A zone - which was a good piece of news.

I was in Crouch end yesterday and saw they now have CPZ but only restricted between 10am and noon wondered why these hours only, seemed to make no sense other than to charge all the residents......
It's quite a good system and stops commuter parking all day, without making it impossible for people to shop/have visitors etc. The only annoying one is outside my son's school, where the restrictions run from 2-4 p.m - it's a secondary school so not many parents need to pick up their kids, but there's nowhere to park if you have an after school meeting with a teacher.

Why would anybody need to park in Crouch End all day, there is no tube.

It's the dirty council fleecing us for more money.

I had my haircut in crouch End the other day and was told the shop owners are terrified about how this will damage their business.

this council won't be happy until they have ruined all retail in the borough.
