Investigative Plumber recommendations needed urgently please
Yes I know that sounds weird but.....we have a leak. A serious one, coming through our ceiling, not 2 years after we had the upstairs bathroom completely rebuilt at great expense. Needless to say I will not be contacting the original plumber/builder (cowboy) to come back to review the work.
So....can anyone recommend a reliable plumber who is really good at tracking down and identifying the source of water-based problems? It's going to take a bit more than being able to fit a sink!

We had a leak from our bathroom that drove us mad for months, trying to find out where it was coming from. It got to the stage that we were going to cut out part of the ceiling below to try to find the source.I just happened to be in TFL’s shop and spoke to one of the bathroom advisors and he asked if we had a low level tray in our shower, as it could be something as simple as the grouting. I did say that we had already ruled this out and had even regrouted the tray. He then questioned whether we weighted down the shower tray down before we applied the grout? Apparently it is a common problem, once someone steps into the shower, the tray slightly drops down a bit and water escapes, if the seal is old/not pliable enough around the edging.Sure enough when we applied pressure and pushed down on the tray, we could clearly see the gap where the water was escaping (no bigger than a credit card). Looking back this was why we could never find the source, as depending on the weight of who was showering/where they stood in the shower, the leak was intermittent.With our new knowledge, we scraped off the old grout (added lots of weight onto the tray) and then reapplied and the leak stopped! This may not be the source of your problem but at least you can rule it out.Good luck and I hope the tip maybe of some help!
