In a perfect world you and the organisations you deal with would use personal data only in the most effective and appropriate way. But too often it's gathered and used in ways that are intrusive and give you no value. You get spammed or have your details sold to third parties.

Wouldn't it be better if organisations used only personal data that you shared willingly and with confidence? And that they respected it as we respect the property of friends whose homes we visit?
