Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

51 Effingham was only sold in the last week or two, but already Jewsons have turned up with massive deliveries of building materials including, most worryingly, large amounts of breeze block. Also, the person who bought the house didn't look like it was family moving in.

There are no applications for planning permission for this property either.

Does anyone have any information on who has bought the house and what the building work is that they are about to do?

Yes, this is the one. Haven't posted anything else about this recently.

I think some Councils are worried about compensation claims, while others are just too overworked to take proactive action.  I would be interested to see their policy though as it's written in legislation that Councils can take immediate action.  Councillors could make this a priority which is perhaps how Newham did it?

I've now had a response from Council officers. They have checked the premises, and it appears that there are no works of conversion going on, and that there is hence no breach. Please let me know if any signs of conversion work appear in the future, and I'll get right back onto it.
