Identify a special place in your area to be used as material for a Haringey-wide dance arts event

Artist Adesola Akinleye, students from London Metropolitan University, and the Haringey Federation of Residents Associations are collaborating to create a Haringey-wide dance arts event during the fortnight from Mon April 20th to Friday May 1st. The project will begin with small events in different locations around Haringey and end with three performances at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, Tottenham Green.
We are looking for local Residents Associations who would like to be involved.
What is involved?
Step 1: We are asking local people to identify a special place in their area where they have learnt something about themselves, be it the place you go to get away from it all, a favourite place to walk or play, or a place where you really feel at home.
Step 2: Members of the creative team will contact you to gather stories about the places, take pictures and visit the place for themselves. We are hoping that some local residents will want to be involved further in the creative process to make something that can be performed or displayed in the special place during the performance fortnight (Mon April 20th to Fri May 1st)
Step 3: The performance of small events at the special places will take place at 7pm each evening between April 20th and April 29th. The order of the special places events will be worked out so that each evening the next event will get nearer and nearer to the Bernie Grant Arts Centre. From April 29th to May 1st there will be three performances in the theatre bringing all the places together.
