One of the most charming websites I've seen. One appreciates better how much work has gone into building what is probably the worlds biggest integrated transport system.
A small criticism: there's too much material on one page: its also one of the longest web pages I've seen.
It’s amazing to see these images presented in this way. What’s interesting is that the tube is something many of us see and use every day. And as such, it becomes familiar, drab and ordinary. Distracted by the immediate need to get from A to B, or self-absorbed in our habitual thoughts and fantasies, we overlook the magnificence of London Underground!
What I love best about Manor House tube station is the calming classical music that is played all day through the PA system - I believe they also do it at Turnpike Lane. It gives such a refined, cultural edge to an essentially rather shabby place, and I wonder if it has a measurable impact on mood and behaviour.
