Hornsey train depot gets planning consent

Transport Briefing today carries the story that Haringey Council have given Network Rail permission to build its new train depot shed at Coronation Sidings between Haringey Heartlands and the New River Village.

The original plan for a 45 per cent larger building was revised after resident objections.However the depot will still be 11 metres high.

Plans are for building work to begin next year, with the construction finished by 2014.
