Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A veritable mass of campaigners appear in this week's Tottenham and Wood Green Independent - read the whole story or just enjoy David Winskill's quote . He believes the hall should be a major arts facility for Hornsey, Haringey, Harringay and the whole of north London.

He said: “People just cannot understand why Haringey is preparing to place the hall’s future in the hands of a private developer with only the sketchiest understanding of community use.”

If you share the protesters' view please sign the Save Hornsey Town Hall petition asking Haringey council to think again and offer the Hall for a Community Asset Transfer.

Arts over the need for housing - really? Sorry but I don't think this request will be taken seriously.

Churchill responding to a plan to cut money for the arts to fund the war effort said: "Then what are we fighting for?"

OK it turns out he never said it, but I still agree with him.
