Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'm not sure about the wisdom of a political party promising to listen for two months, nor of the advisability of explaining that the aim of the exercise is to inform, but if you're in the Hornsey /Wood Green constituency and would like to tell the party your views, now is apparently the time.

Over the next 2 months we will be listening to local residents, to community groups and particularly seeking to reach some of the most vulnerable and isolated people in our constituency. The aim of this is to inform everyone of our work, and be sure that our policies and activities for 2012 reflect the views of local people.

The local (Liberal Democrat) MP has an image of Alexandra Palace on the foot of her web pages. I note with interest that on the above link, at the top of the Haringey Labour Party's page there is a small image of the roof of Alexandra Palace. I wonder what this could signify?

If I knew how, I'd fashion you a pair of glasses shaped like the roofline of Ally Pally, Clive. ;o)

I can't help it Hugh, I keep seeing images of AP everywhere ...

BTW, did you know that the weekend of 5th and 6th of November will see celebrations at AP marking the 75th anniversary of the advent of television broadcasting?

Did you hear that Bruce Forsyth began as an entertainer, as a teenager in 1939. Which means of course, that Sir Brucey's first television appearance will have been in what is now the world's oldest surviving television studios ... in our Alexandra Palace
