Thanks Clive. From what I understand, this presentation will outline some key plans about what'll be happening with the old TV studios amongst other things. Am I right in saying that there's been little consultation on this aspactrso far? If so, it makes this meeting important for anyone interested to attend.

I understand the consultation process is beginning and I hope that as many members of the public as possible will pay close attention to the current plans. The public of North London (not just Haringey borough) are the Beneficiaries of this Charitable Trust, where the Trustee is Haringey Council.

Hugh, you are correct – what is being presented for the first time, was produced by a regeneration committee which met in secret and to which, unfortunately, press and interested outsiders were refused entry and which produced no minutes. If this really is a genuine consultation, as required by the HLF, then presumably it is not expected to be a rubber stamp exercise, and those interested in, and knowlegeable about,  what we have up at the Pally – the original studios which were the birthplace of television – will have their comments taken on board and the plans, if necessary, modified. Having seen the plans for the first time today, I am still absorbing them. In general it is great that the Council are investing in the project -  but I am worried by the possibility that essential structural features of the studios – specifically the Baird studio, studio B, and the small studios between it and Studio A, may be lost. This should be the beginning of the conversation, not the end.
