The Grade 2* listed Tower on Hornsey High Street, the oldest building in Hornsey, will be open between 2.00 and 5.00 pm for exploration of the Tower and trips to the roof for the amazing views of the surroundings, Alexandra Palace, out east to Epping Forest, south to Canary Wharf, and beyond. The chapel will also be open between these times, in which will be a small exhibition of the history of the Tower. Refreshments will be available. Weather permitting there will be a self guided tomb trail. Visitors will be able to enjoy the new planting in the Garden of Remembrance adjacent to the Tower. At 2.30 pm the Rector of Hornsey, Fr Bruce Batstone, wiil conduct a Pets' Service in the churchyard. - all pets wiil be welcome.
The Tower will be open again on Sunday 22 September between 2.00 and 5.00 pm for London Open House.
