Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

So you've returned home having hired a car abroad. But is there any time limit on the car hire company taking money from your credit card? You might have failed to pay a toll, committed a parking offence etc. I'm guessing you can't really be sure?

I got a speeding ticket in July from an offence committed in February in Kuala Lumpur. If the police were slow (and I think they were) it’s difficult to blame the car hire company. I double-checked the evidence and am happy that it was my fault. So I have no problem paying it.

I imagine that the contract doesn’t time limit liability.

About a week in Portugal. But your need to be phoning them up, so they know you're on the case.
