This looks like a bit of a hoot for the family. Published by Treasure trails, the 'trail' is a combined game of seeking treasure hunt clues and solving the puzzle, and included are some that are suitable for children as well as some more challenging ones for adults.
The trail follows a 3.5-mile path around Highgate, starting at Archway station and winding through Hampstead Heath and through Waterlow Park before looping back through Pond Square and down the hill again. It's a good way to discover hidden gems you might not otherwise come across and find out more about an area.
In each of 23 locations along the trail, there's a clue to be spotted or worked out. Some of the clues simply need to be found in the landscape, others need to be worked out with a little more lateral thinking. If your clue has been removed or obscured, there's a clue helpline to help you get to the end of the trail, so you won't miss out on vital treasure-hunting information.
