Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I’ve had this sideboard for about a year now and have just managed to put the hinges doors on. Trouble is they are not sitting correctly and I’m not sure why because it is seemingly straight forward. The outside door hinges  hinges are different from the inside door hinges but are the same make. Two or the doors get stuck and do not push when trying to open. The plates of the hinges have not been been moved or been adjusted. I purchased this second hand and the doors were working properly and we’re only taken off for transport. They are in the correct order as well. Is there anyone knowledgeable with these sorts of things that could help?

Thank you,

Elisa

Hi

Not entirely clear what the issue is here. Are they push to open? Is there a separate push mechanism? Although you state the hinges have not been adjusted they may have moved in transport or more likely not put on with correct adjustment. The screws on the hinge arms (cabinet side) are adjustable. The screw nearest the front will move the door left to right. the rear screw will move the door in and out, away or towards the cabinet. If the door is adjusted too close to the cabinet it may well be binding (catching) on the cabinet. Make the adjustment s in a methodical manner, slowly.

Hope this helps.
