I wonder if anyone can help with this. I have several water damaged floorboards which form the floor of cupboard. They need lifting and replacing but I am not sure whether I need a carpenter, handyman or flooring specialist for this. Does anyone have any experience of this kind of repair/recommendations/estimate of costs? The boards in this area could probably be replaced with new timber as they are usually hidden by a fridge on top of them.
My second problem is that a couple of the water damaged boards extend into the corridor where they are very visible. Ideally I would like to replace them with reclaimed boards that would match the existing varnished pine boards. Does anyone know where I might find reclaimed boards locally? I only need 2-3. Many thanks in advance!

Hi Kumari
I had similar problem, but with woodwarm as well. I called a flooring company and they came and replaced the floorboards, sanded them down and applied varnish. i don't know how much they charged for that as i did the whole downstairs. i suggest you get some quotes from flooring companies. All i know is that they charged £12 per linear meter of wood....
Thanks
Alex
