Whilst I'm never really sure of the extent to which residents' input makes a difference in spending consultations such as the current "NCIL Spending Round 2", it's worth spending a few minutes to register your preferences. If you log in to the consultation site, you can make suggestions and vote on existing ones.
(I've added a suggestion I first made 20 years ago about a small park in the Endymion corner of the Finsbury Park baseball/cricket field as a town park for Harringay for uses such as the one in Crouch End.)
NCIL money comes from developers when they build new homes and certain other types of development and th Council collects money for infrastructure. The charge is based on the floorspace of new developments.
Legislation allows 15% of CIL to be spent on infrastructure or 'anything else that is concerned with addressing the demands that development places on an area'. In places with an adopted Neighbourhood Plan, this increases to 25% of CIL. (Though in practice, councile seem to use the money to plug spending gaps with a nod towards CIL rules).
The amounts available for reach areas are supposedly calculated based on the Council's adopted NCIL allocation methodology, which takes account of:
Over rounds 1 and 2 of the current CIL spending rounds that have resulted from this methodology, ranked by total spend over two rounds.
Apparently, this is where our share of the money went in 2020:
