Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I am trying to claim compensation for a serious assault and I'm entitled to gov.uk CICA .

Can anyone advise me on who to claim with other than c i c a and if I can put other applications to different companies and then choose one.

I have presented them with an application however I'm not happy with it because that is no sections for your mental trauma when I call them Mr up I was told to put in another separate claim.

Advised I received on the phone call was basically my questions where answered as briefly and as little as possible in the most educated way,

The best answer ever was all your answers to your questions are available on our website

I would gladly appreciate it if anyone has gone through this experience please can give me a bit of knowledge on what to do

Thank you very much for your reply I think you have understood what I mean that's makes a lot of sense I'm sorry if I'm very confusing but since the assault nothing is working the way to used to to which really upsets me so please bear with me so the gov.uk site 4 victim compensation do they take a winning fee and you don't get a representative with them not that I should need one am I right?

Then other firms that represent gov.uk CICA take a winning fee on a no win no fee basis but that includes a legal representative yes

Now if both of them are correct what I need to take the gov.uk CIC a with a representative do they pay out the same amount of compensation

I have looked at Hudson's c i c a and Winston c i c a Winston have offered me £10,000 more than patterns that's won't will said they can't give me the amount of their winning feet until I sign a contract but Hudson have been very straightforward do you know why I would need a legal representative everything has been documented legally by police and hospitals does gov.uk pay the same amount of compensation with all respect what's my children and myself have been through I'm going to fight for the maximum if you could just please advise me I really appreciate it thank you

You mentioned a  solicitor suing the actual attacker . How would I avoid that the attacker has a penny to his name he is scum to do what he done to me approves what a low life in Brazil he is so I doubt that he has money as he has spent most of his life in and out of prison so I want to avoid going down that road because I would literally get nothing

So basically victim compensation from gov.uk does not have a representative and and other CIC as that represent gov.uk take a win no fee basis is that correct

I'm so sorry I'm just so still a bit confused so my best bet is going to a c i c a with governments including a representative that will take a running fee yes?

Sorry for all of this thank you so much I get confused very easily nowadays

Usually a solicitor would sue person A for damages to person B. But if person A hasn't got any money or assets, where's the money he/she has to pay you going to come from?

The CICA money is independently funded. They claim the money from no-one.

To use a solicitor in what ever manner, no-win-no-fee on as a go between is just that. All you're doing is hiring someone else to do the paperwork for you and for that they'll take a substantial fee.

We never met anyone from CICA, it was just forms we had to fill in and supply evidence when asked. It does take time though, just as it would with a solicitor.

After a couple of years we received a cheque for a 5 figure sum of money to 'tide us over' until they could work out the final amount. That amount was more than what we were expecting in total. Not long after we received the final amount, 3 times more than that first amount. We could appeal it if we wanted to.

His injuries were such that he had to take early retirement so a lot of the award is based on what he could have earned had he been working. Me, being a bit fussy over bills, banks and earnings had kept over 30 years of payslips which more than helped to prove his potential wages that could have been.
