Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A singer-songwriter from Harringay who's been featured on HoL before is launching his debut album.
The album, which includes tunes about several London locations and businesses, will raise funds for The London Orchard Project.

Singer Songwriter Matt Lucas aka Urb Scrunting said of the album:

I have lived, worked and performed at locations in London for several years and have tried to write songs with a sense of place, work a day struggle and fantasy whilst hopefully giving people a chuckle! The London Orchard project is an exciting new charity doing important work which I am keen to support.

The album includes songs such as Sainsburys Brixton Local, Slow Down Geoffrey about a banker from East Putney, and Curry Store Danni about an encounter with an Australian girl in Rufie’s Curry takeaway on Clapham High Street.

The launch will be at 7pm At Babalou, The Crypt, St. Matthew’s Church, Brixton, SW2 1JF. Tickets are £5.

You can listen to Urb Scrunting’s music at www.myspace.com/urbscrunting and songs will be available for download from iTunes and Amazon from 11th June.
