We have created this generic profile in order that we can post our newsletter and other relevant pieces of information on HOL.
We will continue to monitor HOL but will not respond to individual threads or posts unless we see the need to contact a poster in order to get an issue reported or so that it can be followed up.

Please be aware we do not work 24/7 and are unable to get to incidents quickly.
We deal with slow time - long term problem solving.
If it's an emergency or you need the police straight away because the incident is happening there and then or the suspects are nearby or known to you call 999
If you need a soon response from the police call 0300 123 1212.
A lot of information was lost when Jono's profile was withdrawn. We will repost these as and when they become relevant.

Why was Jono's profile withdrawn? It all seemd a bit sudden. He and Glyn had built a great relationship with locals through the site.

Fair enough, but there seems to have been a wholesale change of policy - "will not respond to individual threads or posts unless we see the need to contact a poster in order to get an issue reported or so that it can be followed up". And it was a pity all your previous content got deleted.

Hugh, we have to keep our postings impersonal and avoid getting drawn into personal disputes. It was unfortunate that previous posts were deleted when my profile was closed. I am sure that they were read and inwardly digested. Glyn and I will post items as and when they become pertinent. Jono
