Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Harringay Local Store turns 2! Party this Sat 5-8pm.
Hello HOL massive.
Well time has whizzed past in the blink of an eye and all of a sudden, we're 2 years old. Technically 2.5 if you count how long it took us to change the place from a dilapidated internet cafe into HLS.
Thank you all so much for your support and custom over this time. Ebony and I honestly didn't have a clue what we were doing when we opened the shop. We really just wanted a nice store on our high street with great wine, beer and food (and records). Now we find ourselves a couple of years down the road, definitely wiser and definitely more in tune with the local community and residents, many of which we're now happy to call friends.
We must also give massive thanks to our staff Kol, Amy, Gabriel, Rohan and Julia. Kol and Amy have been with us since the day we opened and we couldn't have done it without them.
To celebrate the occasion and give thanks to the locals, we are putting on some drinks and nibbles this Saturday afternoon/evening from 5pm til we close at 8 (or maybe later this week). Everyone is welcome and we'd love to see you all there. 581C, between Alison and Beresford!

Great! Well, if you can't have a birthday party when you're a two-year old toddler, you'll probably never get around to celebrating. Somewhere or other Disneys' founding fathers must be kicking themselves for not putting on a big centenary bash in 2013. Maybe Savers will have a 1st birthday do around next Christmas. I need some free Nivea Aftershave (em)Balm to cheer me up.
