Thought you'd like these Anouk. Thanks for the link to Tom Steinberg's stuff. I hadn't been aware of those.

Like all these maps, they're great but never seem quite right. For example my door-to-door travel time to the West End or City is 40 mins..........or am I deluding myself?

(BTW, At the end of a session I ran recently at a conference on hyperlocal a the Ministry of Justice, Steinberg (Mr MySociety) stood up and amongst other stuff said that he's a huge fan of Harringay Online!)
So he should be - I heard him give a seminar some time back (in the dark days of pre-HOL) and HOL is just about a perfect match for the utopian vision he has for the various MySociety projects!

That's awesome you ran a conference session on the hyperlocal. Is there a link so we can have a look at it?
The link in my outlook is defunct. I'll have a scour around see if I can find anything else. There should be some more coming up. If you're interested I'll try and remember to post. Let me know.
Yes, I'd be interested, but if it slips your mind then not to worry.
Fascinating stuff! But a bit overwhelming for me as someone completely unfamiliar with the field. What's a good 'For Dummies' easy first steps approach?

Oh, and a big thankyou for leading me to this beautifully elegant webpage of London night photography by Shaun Tollerton.
