Earlier today when I dropped into Cherie hair salon to borrow a pencil so I could scribble a phone number down, owner Shefik Mehmet called me over to show me his work on progress. As a non-hair expert I'm sure I wasn't able to full appreciate what he was doing, but he said that he'd give his shop to anyone who could do it better!
So, if you're interested in a Harringay hair salon of your own and you can do....um....well whatever he was doing better than he did, here's an opportunity to be grabbed with both hands!

My mum used to have perms in 1987 ! It truly is a skill though i could never bear the smell. I think Shefs shop is pretty safe as perms are not that common anymore. Even if someone knows how to do it, the practice is what makes it perfect so Shef is probably the man to do the job in North London if you want one.
