Harringay Festival 2013 to Make Way for Regeneration on Green Lanes

If you were looking forward to the Harringay Festival this September, I'm, afraid you'll need to be a little patient. 

The eagerly anticipated festival is having to make way for the improvement works planned on Green Lanes, starting this Spring.

All the physical paraphernalia of the works along with with the bandwidth capability of those who organise both festival and the works to take on any more mean this year's festival is being postponed to 2014.

The good news is that it's going to be one helluva party at the Harringay Festival 2014!

As luck would have it however, there will be a festival in the 'hood this year. 2014 is the 400th anniversary of the New River and a festival is planned along its banks between the reservoirs at Stoke Newington and Harringay.

There is an organising committee group taking shape and some funding via a Big Lottery grant, but it does need local people to pitch in and make it happen. Fancy lending a hand?
