From what I can make out the affable Tim Caines is the only serious Conservative candidate from Harringay & St Ann's wards.
One of my web scraper tools just threw up
a blogpiece about Tim on arts blog Stingray. In this slightly odd piece the author uses a walk and conversation with Tim to consider the Conservatives' plans to support the Arts.
Tim comes across as a straightforward guileless type of a guy, very much as I found him when I met him for interview. Nonetheless, the author concludes that under the Conservatives
the message seems to be that the arts would need to fend more for itself. Then at one point in their walk they come across the empty swimming pool in Clissold Park which the author says makes him
think of a world without art: dry, and shallow. What, then is he trying to say by having Tim pose in the empty pool showing the Conservative manifesto?

A slightly odd piece indeed.
