Harringay and Tottenham WI looking for new members

Hi All

The Harringay and Tottenham WI (AKA The Hatters) are looking for new members, we have had a really successful first 6 months, with some fab speakers and we have learnt some great new skills such as Pilates and stress management, Bee Keeping, the history of our local area, How to write and illustrate children’s books and knitting.

We have loads more exciting events coming over the next few months - jam making (well we wouldn’t be the WI without it!) floristry, and all sorts of other things.  Of course there are also the serious issues as well, such as the national campaign that all WI members vote to support each year - this year it’s supporting local libraries or stopping proposed mega farms from being built!

There are also lots of opportunities to take part in local events such as the green fair and the green lanes festival.

We are also hoping to be able to set up separate groups for members who are interested in knitting, a book group, a theatre group and a quiz team!

We are a really diverse and friendly bunch of ladies from all walks of life who generally tend to bond over the delicious cake that gets bought in every month and a cup of tea.
