Tottenham as separate Borough ceased to exist on 31 March 1965. From 1 April it became part of the London Borough of Haringey along with the Boroughs of Hornsey and Wood Green.
A larger proportion of Harringay, lay within the Borough of Tottenham. The parts which lay within Hornsey, preferred to call themselves Hornsey rather than Harringay. From the 1st April, all of the district came under the same Borough for the first time in over a hundred years.
This last issue of Tottenham Calling illustrates the important issues of the time.
