Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone advise on damages for unlawful arrest and aggravated damages? The police unlawfully arrested me for alleged harassment on the basis of a pack of demonstrable lies from a vindictive neighbour. I have declined two offers so far.

The vindictive neighbour complained to the Police I had harassed them after I had complained to Haringey Council about them building without planning permission and unsafe building practices.  ( They put live electrical cable in my garden, dug beneath scaffolding footing so it could have collapsed and overloaded skips so masonry was likely to hit vehicles on the road.)    As a result, I was given a harassment warning for trying to uphold the law.

I was then subsequently arrested after asking the police to investigate the same neighbour who had  pointed a CCTV camera into my sitting room.

I now know this neighbour lived in Kwazulu Natal and went to university there.  A Sergeant Stitch-Up who I also now know authorised the harassment warning is about the same age as the neighbour. According to a Gay Magazine, Sgt Stitchup also lived in Kwazulu Natal and went to the same university.  The same neighbour should also have been known to the police for involvement in white collar crime. The neighbour is Managing Director of a small company which employed twelve people without the right to work in the UK. This is quite a serious crime that warranted a £120K fine.

Most importantly Sergeant Stitchup did not follow written police procedures which require a thorough investigation.  I was accused of harassment by email, yet the police did not read or seize any of the emails.  None of the allegations against me were checked and the police refused to investigate demonstrable lies they had been told even after I wrote to Commander Olisa about it.

An Inspector Coverup and Superintendent Smarm investigated my complaint and could not find any fault with police conduct.

Does anyone have any idea of how much aggravated damages I should expect in these circumstances?   I am constantly concerned the same neighbour could make further allegations which could land me in court for an imprisonable offence.

Alternatively, what does it take to get our local police to behave with honesty, integrity and professionalism by providing information held about me and correcting it - and upholding what is essentially a very serious complaint?   If this were the case, I would expect reduced  aggravated damages and the police would save several thousand pounds.

What does it take to get our local police to behave with honesty and integrity? A bit of a loaded question but I think the borough commander should have our support. Put yourself in his shoes.

Are you not being a little melodramatic here? Several people rolled their eyes at me over my accusations of student and familial connections amongst the #stanns people. Apparently it weakened my case.

Part 1 of 10 – A Harassment Investigation by Haringey Police

John M suggested I post some evidence. Well here is Part 1 of a 10 Part story.

As previously stated, allegations of harassment were made against me by neighbours.  The neighbours had lost a planning dispute; then they started to indulge in a spree of unsafe and messy building work affecting surrounding houses.  When I had to speak to them about this, they became loud abusive, so I rebuked them.  As a result of this altercation, the neighbours went to the police and made false allegations of harassment.

The purpose of this post is to shame the Metropolitan Police into putting this matter right and acting lawfully.  I have redacted names to protect the guilty and the innocent.

  1. A copy of the Primary Harassment Investigation Report extracted from a Crime Report is attached.  It records a series of allegations none of which were checked or corroborated.   The author clearly cannot spell, has not mastered grammar or making sense.     Boris must have been referring to the Met when he recently said “It’s a disaster when some citizens cannot speak English”.

  2. While I was accused of harassment by email, there is no reference in the report to reading or seizing a single email.

  3. The attachment also shows that Sergeant Stitchup approved the report as meeting the necessary standard and approved a Harassment Warning.  (PS means Police Sergeant)

  4. Attached are copies of two Metropolitan Procedures which state that allegations should be corroborated before issuing a harassment warning.   This was not done. The procedures also state electronic evidence like copies of emails should be kept and suspicions of false allegations should be recorded.   Contrary to these procedures emails were not kept and suspicions of false allegations were not recorded. Relevant sections are marked in red.

  5. I recently made Commander Olisa aware that Met Police procedures were not followed.  I also made him aware my accuser and the Sergeant StitchUp who approved the warning both  came from Kwazulu Natal,  a well-known hub of apartheid and white supremacy.

  6. I am attaching my accuser’s Linked In Page showing his connection with Kwazulu Natal.  I am also attaching a copy of Sergeant Stitchup’s Facebook page which has just been shut down. What a surprise!  Instead, I am attaching a web page refers to Sergeant Stitchup’s partenership ceremony in guess where?  Kwazulu Natal.

About fifteen officers were deployed on this investigation within a very short time of the allegations being made.   It generally takes Haringey Police about a month to begin to investigate an incident of Grievous Bodily Harm, so why would they an argument between neighbours such a high priority?

The main issue is Sergeant Stitchup did not follow Metropolitan Police Procedures which are meant to protect the public before authorising the harassment warning.  The fact this police officer appears to have come from the same town in South Africa as my accuser simply illustrates the seediness of this entire affair.

This investigation was the first of a series of idiotic and unprofessional actions by Haringey police that led to my unlawful arrest and show no sign of stopping.

Haringey Police have written to me to say they are following Boris’s policy to the letter.   Perhaps supportive readers could vote with their feet and Like this post and Tweet Boris on https://twitter.com/mayoroflondon to see if this is true. I am sure he will have something to say.

This is not a minor matter. Please bear in mind anything I say to or about the neighbours  could result in six month prison sentence for harassment.   The way the legislation is being applied is unreasonable.
