Haringey Improves Veolia's Performance
I think there must be someone in Haringey not standing for Veolia shirking on rubbish collections.
Last week, Veolia did not collect the food or garden waste from at least all of our Road. I telephoned twice and was assured a collection would be arranged the next day. The collections did not happen and when I raised the issue with the Haringey, Veolia claimed it had nor received any calls at all and it had an "H&S" operational issues.
When I spoke to Haringey to point out this was not very satisfactory. Either Veolia should refund Haringey for missed collections or collect the day after a non-collection issue is raised.
Within minutes, Veolia collected. Well done Haringey !!!

Same happened on Hermitage Road. Might be worth sharing emails/numbers to call if this happens.

I work in recycling for another council - we also have a contract with Veolia. The guy in charge of recycling for that contract says if there's a missed collection the same crew has to go back and get it - even if they're in a different area the next day. Don't know if it's the same here but I think it's a good plan!
