Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi All,

The Haringey Foodbank is based at The Selby Centre and is always looking for donations of non perishable foods. A list of example items can be found here.

Items donated to the Haringey Foodbank will also be used at other Haringey Foodbank collection points in Wightman Road and Stroud Green.

To donate please bring your items to the Selby Centre, Selby Road, London N17 8JL between 12pm - 4pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

If you require help from the Foodbank, you will need a Foodbank voucher. These are obtainable from Citizen Advice or Social Services. Unfortunately, you cannot be given any food without the vouchers.

The Foodbank is based at The Selby Centre, Selby Road, Tottenham N17 8JL. It is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12pm - 4pm. There are also other collection points around the borough:

The Gospel Centre Wightman Road (corner Raleigh Road) London N8 0LT

Hi, I live very near Wightman rd. Can I donate direct to The Gospel Centre, and if yes what times?
Thanks

I think so -

  • Tue 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm or Sun 11.30 am to 1.00 pm

Yes you can. I help there and it is open Tuesday 6.30 pm to 9 pm and Sunday 11.30 am to 1 pm. We would be very grateful for any donations but we don't need any pasta or tea at the moment. We are particularly short of milk but it must be longlife not fresh. See you there!
Thank you. I will try my very best to drop by on Tuesday.

Thank you Marie.

Thank you for replying Tina.

If anyone has a lot of items (i.e. school groups etc.), the Selby Centre is where the main storage space is, but of course if it is closer and easier to go Wightman Road, it still helps very much.

Hope you can help? I have some really good quality baby clothes to give away. They are all clean and sorted and boxed into gender and size. I'd like to give them to a local family who are expecting or just had a baby. There's no one I can think of who I know who is having a baby soon and also in my experience they just pick a few items and give me rest back!
Can you help me give them to a family who needs them and would appreciate them?
